THE ROLE OF ENGLISH PROVERBS IN LANGUAGE AND EVERYDAY COMMUNICATION
Abstract
This article discusses the nature of English proverbs, their characteristics, and how they differ from idiomatic expressions. It also presents common English proverbs along with their meanings and examples to show how they are used in everyday life. Through this discussion, the article highlights the cultural value of proverbs and their role in teaching morals, life lessons, and practical wisdom.
