Abstract

This article examines the role of the affiliation motive in shaping the moral and spiritual identity of adolescents. The affiliation motive, defined as the individual’s need to belong and be socially accepted, is considered a key psychological factor in the development of prosocial and ethical qualities during adolescence. Research findings indicate that adolescents with a strong affiliation need tend to internalize moral values more effectively and demonstrate higher levels of empathy, cooperation, and social responsibility. The article highlights the socio-psychological mechanisms of affiliation and its pedagogical significance in the moral education of youth.
