Abstract

Corruption remains a key obstacle to Uzbekistan’s social and economic development, with especially harmful effects on youth, who constitute more than half of the population. While vulnerable, young people also represent a driving force for change. This article analyses the role of youth in corruption prevention through Uzbekistan’s constitutional and legal framework, including the 2023 Constitution , the Law “On Combating Corruption” (2017), and the Law “On State Youth Policy” (2016, amended 2021). It highlights youth participation in education, student clubs, digital activism, and civic initiatives. Drawing on Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index , the UNCAC, and comparative practices from Singapore, Scandinavia, and Kazakhstan , the study identifies achievements and challenges.
