“SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL MECHANISMS OF OVERCOMING DIGITAL STRESS AND ITS PSYCHOSOMATIC CONSEQUENCES AMONG STUDENTS”
Abstract
This article explores the psychological and psychosomatic consequences of digital stress among university students, which arise from excessive use of digital technologies. The analysis highlights key stressors such as constant engagement with the internet and social networks, pressure from online learning environments, the impact of virtual communication on interpersonal relationships, as well as psychosomatic manifestations including sleep disorders, impaired attention, and mood instability. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the role of socio-psychological mechanisms in reducing digital stress, including the development of communicative competence, enhancement of emotional resilience, stress management training, and the importance of social support systems. The findings provide a scientific basis for developing effective psycho-preventive strategies that can safeguard students’ mental health and promote their successful social adaptation in the digital era.
